Isostatic graphite material data sheet and size list

Introduction of isostatic pressing process.

Isostatic pressing machine is a kind of high-pressure hydraulic advanced equipment which is formed under the ultra-high-pressure of the homogeneous high-pressure container. The principle of isostatic pressing is Pascal’s law: “The pressure of the medium (liquid or gas) in a closed container can be transmitted in all directions equally.” The technology of isostatic pressing has been exist for more than 70 years, mainly used in the powder metallurgy Ceramics in the beginning. In recent 20years, it has been used in permanent magnets, high-voltage electromagnetic porcelain bottles, biological drug preparation, food preservation, food processing, food processing, food processing, food processing and other industries, High-performance materials, military and other fields.

Isostatic pressing technology is divided into three different types: cold isostatic pressing, temperature isostatic pressing and hot isostatic pressing, accordingly to the difference when molding and consolidation of the temperature level,

Cold isostatic pressing technology

Cold Isostatic Pressing (CIP) is using a kind of mold material which is usually made of rubber or plastic at room temperature. The liquid is the pressure medium and is mainly used for powder material molding. For the purpose of further sintering, forging or provides a raw semi-products material for the hot isostatic pressing process. The general pressure used is 100 ~ 630MPa.

Temperature isostatic pressing technology

For temperature isostatic pressing technology, the pressing temperature is generally less than 80 ~ 120 ℃, there is also temperature less than 250 ~ 450 ℃, using special liquid or gas transmission pressure, the pressure used is about 300MPa or so. Mainly used for powder materials at room temperature which cannot be formed in room temperature, such as the graphite material, polyamide rubber materials. To enable a solid body to be obtained at a higher temperature.

Hot isostatic pressing technology

Hot isostatic pressing (HIP), is to make the material stand the whole isostatic pressing process, but with a high temperature and high pressure at the same time. its not only for the consolidation of the powder body, making the two-steps operation of traditional powder metallurgy molding and sintering together. But also for the diffusion of the workpiece bonding, casting defects to eliminate the complex shape of the production parts. In hot isostatic pressing, generally use argon, ammonia and other inert gases as the pressure transmission medium, the envelope material is usually metal or glass. Operating temperature is generally 1000 ~ 2200 ℃, the working pressure is often 100 ~ 200MPa.
