The biggest advantage of high-temperature method is the high carbon content of products, up to 99. 995% or more, the disadvantage is the need to specifically design and construction of high-temperature furnace, expensive equipment, one-time investment and energy consumption, high electricity The production costs. Comparative analysis shows that several methods of graphite purification are different, also have certain defects. Alkali acid method is easy to operate, the production cost is low, the production requirements are lower, but the production of graphite fixed carbon content is low, from the current view can not reach 99.9%. Hydrofluoric acid method impurity effect is good, product fixed carbon content is high, but hydrofluoric acid is highly toxic and strong corrosive to safety protection measures and production conditions are strict, and the wastewater is not easy to handle. Chlorination roasting method due to chlorine poisonous and strong corrosive, also need strict sealing. High-temperature method can produce very high-grade high-purity graphite, but because of their own limitations can not be promoted at present, only a small range of applications.
